Founder/ Owner/ Creator

Founder, Owner & Creator of Les Cygnes Kate Griffler is a New York City-based freelance dancer, choreographer, and entrepreneur. After graduating from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College with a certificate in Arts Management, she  directed Reverb Dance, a celebrated non-profit international dance festival that ran in NYC for 15 years.
A versatile creative, Kate choreographed and produced the musical The Awakening of Angel DeLuna both regionally and Off-Broadway. Her extensive choreography and performance credits span concert dance, university dance departments, films, plays, music videos, and commercial vocal artists. Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with a diverse roster of renowned choreographers, including Jamel Gaines, Francis Patrelle, Jessica Ruhlin, Stacy Grossfield, Ayako Kurakake, Celia Rowlson-Hall and many others. 
Kate maintains a rigorous daily ballet training schedule under master teachers Nancy Bielski and Simon Kazantsim.  She performs regularly in NYC, with recent full-length ballet credits including The Nutcracker, Pinafore, and Snow White with Dances Patrelle and City Dance. Her love for ballet has only grown with time and so has her obsession with pointe shoes!
